High-quality velvet fabric - thick and fleshy, with an exceptionally elegant appearance. It differs from smooth, uniform velvets in its visible but imperceptible structure. The surface, which is very pleasant to the touch, is covered with a delicate fluff and has a slight shine. The fleece is lightly shaded, which gives an interesting visual effect. Thanks to it, the upholstery takes on an original character. The material, made of synthetic fibers, is very resistant to abrasion and peeling, which ensures the furniture is in perfect condition for a long time (Martindale test: 105,000, 370 g / m², composition: 100% polyester). The OEKO-TEX ® STANDARD 100 certificate confirms that the fabric is free from harmful substances and safe for people.
Cleaning tips
Furniture upholstered with velvet fabric should be cleaned once every week or two. Gently brush it in one direction using a soft brush or sponge. This will help remove dust and dirt without allowing them to penetrate deeper into the fabric. Brushing also helps lift the pile and prevents the "crushing" effect, which is the flattening of the fibers in areas where we sit or lean most often. 1-2 times a year, thoroughly refresh the velvet upholstery. Wipe the entire fabric gently with a wet solution of a neutral cleaning agent, such as dishwashing liquid mixed with water. Then, wipe it again with a clean, damp sponge or cloth to remove any detergent residue. Allow it to air dry naturally. You can also use special upholstery cleaning products designed for fabric, such as foam, shampoo, or spray. Follow the manufacturer's instructions when using such products. In case of staining or spills, gently blot the liquid with a dry cloth or paper towel. To remove dirt from mud, ketchup, mayonnaise, yogurt, or lipstick, delicately gather the remnants of the substance. For cleaning the sofa, use gentle and neutral detergents like dishwashing liquid or mild soap, mixed with lukewarm water in the proportions: one teaspoon of detergent to two cups of water. Strong cleaners and bleaches can damage the upholstery. To avoid this, perform a spot test of the cleaning agent on an inconspicuous part of the furniture and wait for 15 minutes. Before wet cleaning, gently vacuum the fabric to remove surface contaminants, so they don't get embedded deeper into the material. Clean the soiled surface slowly and gently in circular motions, from the outer edges of the stain towards its center, trying to remove dirt from between the fibers. Avoid vigorous and forceful rubbing to prevent damaging the velvet's pile. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process, widening the cleaned area around the stained spot. Apply thin layers of the cleaning solution and immediately remove any excess. If too much cleaning solution is absorbed into the fabric, it may become stiff. After cleaning, wipe the treated area thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth to remove the cleaning solution and prevent watermarks. Avoid using hot water to remove stains, especially organic ones, as it may set the stains. After removing the stain, let the fabric air dry at room temperature. Do not use a hairdryer or any other direct source of heat. During this time, avoid sitting on the sofa as the upholstery may deform.
